Don't Stop The Music

A collection of songs can often be referred to as the "soundtrack to your life" - It is like a roadmap looking backward on the major milestones that got you to where you are today. The all-new show ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ as well as initiating memories, will undoubtedly create new ones too.

If you have a passion for music, you’ll enjoy the inspirational musical journey, encapsulating   all genres across the musical spectrum covering six decades performed by nine talented vocalists, that will leave you starstruck.

Live entertainment still has a place in our busy lives, reaching beyond the realms of the everyday reality, take pleasure from storytelling to music. Enjoy the narratives found in West End and Broadway hit musicals, Phantom of the Opera, Grease and The Rocky Horror Show.  Sound bites from award winning movie soundtracks, Grease, No Time to Die, Encanto and Chess as well as chart topping popular songs associated with star performers that include, Billie Eilish, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, Blondie, Steps, Cilla Black, The Temptations, Roberta Flack, Dusty Springfield, The Four Tops, and Michael Bublé

The show is headlined by a Babbacombe Favourite Andy Oakley. As well as being a versatile comedian and musician, he can deliver a song, that demonstrates his vocal prowess and talent for characterisation, which will be evident in his rather unusual portrayal of the Phantom… from the Birmingham Hippodrome!

Other cast members that will be hitting the high notes are, celebrated entertainer, who never ceases to impress is Dean Winters, ‘the Voice’ vocalist Holly Cosgrove, who is as adept at interpreting a pop hit as she is the most dramatic show song. Accomplished musical theatre performer Joe Stone, singing sensations Harriet Loveridge and Claire Waring, familiar to many as local pantomime and musical theatre stars, crooner Joe Harris, who can pack a punch in more ways than one and leave you ‘Feeling Good’ as will Lucy Samuels and Sophie Beresford who are swapping their dance shoes for a microphone.

A great song will lift your heart, warm the soul, and make you feel good, imagine your euphoria after enjoying an evening with so many wonderful melodic memories, building on and adding to the soundtrack of your life, which will have been seamlessly merged together by the show’s Producer & Director Colin Matthews, Musical Director Pete Leonard & Choreographer Wesley Waring.
