MONEY FOR NOTHING SHOW POSTPONED

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT regarding tonight's performance of Money For Nothing, The Dire Straits Tribute Band at the Babbacombe Theatre (Sat 6th November). THIS SHOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED! The lead singer/guitarist collapsed on stage last night having being taken ill early on during the performance. Now all the cast are taking PCR test as symptoms do point to it possibly being Covid. THE SHOW HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED to Thursday 27th January 7.30pm in 2022 and your tickets will automatically be transferred to the new date.


AUDITIONS FOR 2022- Juniors & Dancers THIS SUNDAY

We are putting out a call to all talented young people who aspire to perform, to attend an audition for the 2022 season at the venue on Sunday 14th November. We are looking for junior children who can sing well and dance too, as well as senior female dancers who are strong in all aspects of dance that can preferably sing also. too. IMPORTANT UPDATE - note because it is Remembrance Sunday and part of the seafront will be closed from 9am - 12 noon to allow for the preparation for the parade and for the laying of the wreaths at 11am. Diversions will be in place, but it is advisable to take another route to the auditions should you usually travel that way.

After securing arts council funding earlier in 2021, which enabled the Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay to remain open after a traumatic period when the venues future seemed in doubt, the management team is now working to secure new audiences whilst serving the community. Following on from our first project when we worked with Circus Starr, the circus with a purpose, we have other projects coming soon with the Altru Drama CIC, the Torbay Community Development Trust and Sound Community.
