BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT AUDITIONS
The Britain’s Got Talent production team are returning to the Babbacombe Theatre for a second year and this time YOU ARE INVITED!
If you would like to be seen by the BGT producers, you can register to be at the Babbacombe Theatre on Wednesday 27th July. The auditions will commence at 3pm and doors will open at 2.45pm. Please note, all under 16’s MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian. If you cannot attend this audition but would like to apply you can do so by logging on to WWW.ITV.COM/TALENT
Having had three previous head lining acts that have wowed audiences on the Babbacombe boards going on to reach the BGT finals, the producers were keen to see if one of the current performers could make that number four in 2017, they plan to see both 5 star shows, Starstruck and Music of the Night whilst they are visiting! But then again, apart from the talented 2016 casts this part of Devon is renowned for having many other performers who could be 2017’s winner!
Paul Burling, comedy impressionist, Steve Hewlett, ventriloquist and Danny Posthill also a comedy impressionist, all not only won the hearts of the judges but also of the British public when they hit the TV screens of the nation- who will it be next?
Colin Matthews, the Managing Director of Matpro Limited, owns and operates the popular venue and with this year being his 30th anniversary at the theatre is excited to have this opportunity again to showcase what South Devon has to offer. He says, “I actively seek out new and versatile performers for my own productions which, together with my youth policy, has resulted in the discovery and development of young local talent from across the region. Many have gone on to achieve success nationally and in the West End. I feel proud for every one of them. Having a winner of BGT going on to perform at the Royal Variety Show would be marvellous and the icing on the cake”.
