Torbay's Got Talent 2010- APPLICATIONS NOW BEING TAKENPosted: 21st July 2010
This is a superb opportunity for performers to showcase their talent to the theatre going public in the region.
This competition is staged at the Babbacombe Theatre and is open to professional artists, as well as amateurs and aspiring performers, whether they are singers, dancers, comedians, impressionists, jugglers, magicians, contortionists, acrobats, escapologists, musicians, animal acts or ventriloquists. They can be a solo act, double act, trio, quartet, or part of a choir. In fact entrants can be anyone who can entertain, win the judges over and generate an audience vote, that is how simple it is to secure a place in the final, and who knows it could be YOU who will walk off with the title, TORBAY'S GOT TALENT WINNER 2010!
Holly Cosgrove, THE 2009 WINNER ( picture supplied by courtesy of Pyramid Torbay appears on this article), starred in the Christmas Cracker last year. She received much acclaim for her performance and has just recently negotiated a contract to star in a principal role in the 2011 seasonal show at the Babbacombe Theatre.
The first runner up last year, Louis Nayler also secured a summer season contract and he has been wowing audiences since February this year, week in and week out with his superb vocal ability and his sprightly dance moves.
Second runner up, eight year old Lily Laight along with finalist Millie Day both joined the troupe of ‘Kids Aloud’ in this seasons The Laughter Party and they have both proven their worth in more ways than one. Both girls have been offered other work and received several accolades in acknowledgement of their talents.
The prize pot generated a lot of interest last season and this year’s package will ensure the winner has everything necessary to raise their profile within the entertainment industry.
