Acker has performed on two occasions here and in both instances he appeared on stage with his Paramount Jazz Band and alongside Kenny Ball & his Jazzmen. On both occasions we had a full house, and there was even people on the door trying to buy tickets from theatre patrons who had been luck enough to secure tickets prior to them selling out!

Denise Nolan

Denise came to Babbacombe Theatre in her hit show ' The Magic of Judy Garland' in 2005.

Denise still tours with that show, but along with her appearances in Blood Brothers and too many to mention Pantomimes.

Of course we all know that she performed along with her sisters 'The Nolans' and their biggest hit song ' I'm In the Mood For Dancing' continues to gather momentum on any dance floor!

Dennis Locorriere

Locorriere, as a founding member of Dr Hook, was the recipient of more than sixty gold and platinum albums, gaining #1 chart status in more than 42 different countries. He is also a notable songwriter, his songs having been recorded by Bob Dylan, Crystal Gayle, BJ Thomas, Helen Reddy, Willie Nelson, Southside Johnny and most recently, Jerry Lee Lewis on his 2006 critically acclaimed, historical release 'Last Man Standing'

Donovan is a British singer-songwriter and guitarist, he developed an eclectic and distinctive style that blended folk, jazz, pop, psychedelia, and world music.

Donovan came to fame in the United Kingdom in early 1965 with a series of live performances on the pop TV series, Ready Steady Go!, and his popularity spread to the US and other countries

His Sunshine Superman UK Tour back in 2005 bought him here to Babbacombe in May of that year.

Jimmy Cricket's humour is entirely clean. A popular theme of his comedy is Irish logic, and the ubiquitous letter from his "Mammy". He almost always appears in his trademark outfit of cut-off evening trousers, tuxedo, hat (given to him by the BBC to wear on The Good Old Days) and wellies marked "L" and "R" for left and right, but worn on the wrong feet

Jimmy Tarbuck

JIMMY TARBUCK, known affectionately as 'Tarby' is one of Britain's favourite comics and has a television career spanning over forty years. Today, he can often be found either on the golf course or entertaining corporate audiences at gala dinners and award ceremonies with his quick wit and charismatic personality

He has been honoured by an hour long special of This is Your Life and has found time to write two books -Tarbuck on Golf, which went to the top of the bestsellers followed by Tarbuck on Showbiz which was as equally successful. He has received the top Variety Club of Great Britain award of Showbusiness Personality of the Year and he has been made an Officer of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem for his charity work.

In 1994, Jimmy was honoured by being awarded the OBE for his services to showbusiness and charity.

Jimmy continues to appear in summer seasons, pantomime, yearly concert tours and a variety of television programmes. He is also involved in many charitable causes. He is a popular after-dinner speaker and hosts many award ceremonies.

Julian Lloyd webber

Julian Lloyd webber

Widely regarded as one of the most creative musicians of his generation, Julian has won numerous awards for his services to music, including the Crystal Award (presented at the World Economic Forum in 1998) and the Classic FM Red Award in 2005. In 1994 he was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Music.

Julian has made many outstanding recordings including his Brit-Award winning Elgar Concerto conducted by Yehudi Menuhin (chosen as the finest ever version by BBC Music Magazine).

For one night only - the 12th April 2003, to be precise, Julian was in concert on the Babbacombe Theatre stage and what a fabulous evening was had by all!
